WOMEN'S PRIMARY CARE

We at Well Care Services focus on what is essential to the health of female patients. Our women's health program offers "whole person" care, from management of acute and chronic health problems, to screening for new ones. We offer comprehensive care for women across the lifespan, including young adulthood, pregnancy, motherhood and menopause.

ANNUAL EXAMS/PAP TESTING

It is strongly recommended to meet with a obstetrician/gynecologist, midwife, or other healthcare provider for annual check-ups. These visits normally include a breast examination and pelvic examination and may include a Pap smear in order to test the cells of the cervix and to test for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). Cervical and breast cancers are better treated if caught early via routine screening exams.

CONTRACEPTION SERVICES

We can help you find the best method of contraception to fit your individual needs. We offer the full spectrum of options, including oral contraceptives, IUDs, Nexplanon, and others. Your provider will work with you to find a safe, effective method that's right for you.

COLPOSCOPY

A colposcopy is an in-depth look at the cervix and vagina with a special instrument called a colposcope. This is often performed if the results of your pap smear are considered abnormal. Biopsies are often taken of cervical tissue during this exam.

STI SCREENING AND TREATMENT

We offer screenings for sexually transmitted infections including Human Immunodeficiency Virus infection (HIV), Chlamydia, Hepatitis B, Syphilis, and Herpes Simplex Virus. If an infection is detected, we offer the most appropriate treatment in a professional, compassionate manner.

PRENATAL AND POSTPARTUM CARE

We offer prenatal care to help ensure a healthy pregnancy, labor, and delivery for both mother and child. Quality prenatal care helps decrease risks during pregnancy and increases the chance of a safe and healthy delivery. Regular prenatal visits can help your doctor or midwife monitor the pregnancy and identify any potential problems before they escalate.

MANAGEMENT OF PREGNANCY AND POSTPARTUM SUBSTANCE ABUSE/PSYCHIATRIC DISORDERS

We offer help for substance abuse and psychiatric disorders that may potentially harm your pregnancy in a compassionate, non-
