POSITION SUMMARY:

The Outpatient Therapist-Intensive Outpatient Program provides therapeutic functions to include assisting patients in meeting their psychological needs while enabling them to achieve their optimal level of emotional health. Consultation, teaching, individual, group and family therapy, crisis intervention, information and referrals as needed are provided.


Job Requirements EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or a clinically related mental health field and possess one of the following:

  • Licensed professional mental health counselor (LPC)

  • Licensed master’s social worker (LMSW)

  • Licensed art therapist (LAT)

  • Licensed mental health counselor (LMHC)

  • Licensed clinical social work (LCSW)

  • Licensed professional clinical mental health counselor (LPCC)

  • Licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT).

A minimum of one year of clinical and chemical dependency counseling experience preferred.


SKILLS:

Must have strong clinical assessment skills and have knowledge of therapeutic planning and techniques.
